If you want to surf the web or check your emails while you are waiting for your flight, you can connect to the Wi-Fi service at Alicante Airport.
Wi-Fi access at Alicante Airport is available free of charge. While in the past free access was limited to 15 or 30 minutes, nowadays the service is available without time limitation. At a download speed of 2Mbps, you will be able to check your e-mails, browse the web and catch up with the news on your social media.
You can access the service via one of the following options:
Step 1: In your Wi-Fi settings menu select “Airport Free Wifi AENA”
Step 2: Type the following address into your browser: freewifi.aena.es
Step 3: Wait for the welcome page to open and access the service via your email address, your Facebook or LinkedIn account, or your Aena Club Cliente username.
Step 4: Fill in the required details and read and accept the terms and conditions.
If you need a faster Wi-Fi speed, you have two options. You can access the service with your Aena Club Cliente username. This enables a faster connection and eliminates the need to register again. Alternatively, if you are spending your time in the VIP lounge, you can connect to the lounge’s Wi-Fi service. In your Wi-Fi settings, select the network “Sala VIP” + the name of the lounge you are in. This is the best Wi-Fi service available at the airport, as it is part of the VIP service.
If you want to avoid the potential cost of data roaming during your holiday, there are several alternative options for internet access during your holiday in Spain. Free Wi-Fi is found in bars and cafés in virtually every city and town. Depending on the establishment, you may be able to connect straight away or just request a Wi-Fi password to enter. The quality of these free Wi-Fi connections differs and some are better than others.
It is worth keeping in mind that the use of public Wi-Fi can carry an increased risk of hackers gaining access to your personal information, so you will need to ensure that you have the right security settings on your phone or tablet before you log in.
