Alicante Airport has excellent bus connections. The two main bus companies operating a service from Alicante Airport are Vectalia Alicante and Spain’s equivalent to the UK’s National Express, Alsa. All buses are of a high standard and come complete with air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi.
There is only one bus stop at Alicante Airport. This serves both, arriving and departing passengers. It is located right outside the departures area of the terminal on level 2.
Unlike some airports where you must purchase your tickets in advance from a kiosk or machine, at Alicante Airport, you simply pay the driver when you get on the bus. Make sure you either have the exact fare or small enough bills, as the driver may not be able to give change for large banknotes.
From Alicante Airport there are the following direct bus connections:
|Alicante Airport – Alicante city C6
|Alicante Airport – Elche 1A / 1B
|Alicante Airport – Arenales del Sol 1B
|Alicante Airport – San Vicente del Raspeig 8

It stops at the main bus terminal near the port, the railway station, and at two stops close to the city tram. The travel time from the airport to the city is around 20 minutes.
